Use clorox and water. Keep the pup with parvo isolated totally from the others. Be sure you CLEAN EVERYTHING AND EVERYWHERE THE PUP HAS BEEN WITH CLOROX AND WATER.
Another thing, parvo can be spread by the soles of your shoes, so make sure you have a mat that can hold water and put water and clorox in it and step in it before entering their kennels and after exiting.
This is what my vet had us do when my lab got parvo 2 weeks ago. He ended up in the hospital but he's out and doing well....he's a survivor, but it took lots of work and effort both conscious and common sense to make sure our other dogs wouldn't get it and that he had the chance to get better.
Good luck.
*****the previous post with Tamiflu---my vet said that it is NOT PROVEN TO GET RID OF PARVO...IT HAS A VERY SMALL STUDY RATE, AND IS NOT 100% EFFECTIVE....THIS IS A HUMAN MEDICINE AND COULD CAUSE OTHER SIDE EFFECTS TO YOUR PUP----PLEASE TALK TO YOUR VET ABOUT HOME REMEDIES SUCH AS THAT****

First of all, I hope you have isolated the pup who is infected with Parvo as it is a very serious contagious disease.
Step to take to prevent spreading of Parvo
- Keep infected dog away from other dogs.
-Clean up all of the dog's stool in yard.
-Use a 1:30ratio of chlorine bleach and water to clean food and water bowls. Wash any bedding dog has came in contact with this same bleach and water solution.
- If you have any other dogs that are 2 years or younger and haven't gotten vaccinated for Parvo, please do take them in for a booster A.S.A.P.
-Be sure to feed your dog a bland diet, such as Canine Prescription i/d until he is fully recovered. When switching back to his reg. diet mix the regular food with i/d for 2-3 days to allow the pet to gradually adjust to the change.
-Soak the yard with a strong Bleach/water solution( sure it may kill the grass, but its more deadly to your dogs.) As you may already know that parvo can live up to a year in a yard. For extra measure I always would throw in some Seven Dust.....
Also if none of your dogs do not have the vaccintion for Parvo, do go and get it done! No offense or anything, when i buy from my breeder, the pups have already have had 3 sets of puppy boosters, which all include PARVOVIRUS. It will also help prevent the other dogs from getting it too, because the older the dog the more resistent they become so add that to the vaccine and i wouldn't worry too much about it.
Good luck and I hope your pup come through and hope the other dogs don't get infected.

First off if you are indeed breeding all of your dogs should have received their vaccinations, all pregnant dogs and dogs with pups should be away from the other dogs, all areas should always be cleaned thoroughly this stops the spread of disease, any new dogs that come to your kennel should always be isolated for at least 3 weeks before coming in contact with your dogs, people who come to visit should not handle young puppies and they should not have access to pups under the age of 5 -6 weeks. Now that you have parvo you need to speak with your vet on how best to prevent it's spread.

Unfortunately, because of the dogs being kennel closely it is highly probable that the other pups will get it. The older dogs if vaccinated properly might not get it but because it is in the kennel already, they might.
Bleach everything........... I mean everything!!!!! Buy rubber boots that you use only when going into the kennel and when you enter and leave it.... step into a bucket of strong bleach water. This will kill anything residual on the shoes going in and out.
Watch the dogs super carefully. Take temps, watch for vomiting or diarrhea, nasal or eye discharge. Report anything odd to the Vet immediately. Clean the kennel constantly.
Ask the Vet to give booster shots to the remaining dogs to help boost their immunity.
Hope I helped and I wish you the best of luck!

I lost a pup tp Parvo recently and my vet said to spray EVERYWHERE that the pup had been with half water and half bleach, that will kill the parvo-otherwise it will stay in your yard and infect the other dogs if they haven't had the vacine for it.Parvo stays in your yard for up to 9 months and can make any dog that hasn't had it's shots sick.I wish you the very best of luck and I hope your little dog makes it,talk to your vet about getting the shot for the others cause it is a very deadly disese.Usually you don't know they have it until it's too late-that's what happened with us and we lost our little girl.

throw out the kennel, dog beds and you have to get new everything. give your dogs away that don't have pravo or let a friend keep them until the shot runs effective through the blood stream....I'd ask a vet about the ground...its all over the place by now...bleach your home floors and keep them inside, if the parvo dog has not been in the front yard, turn them out on a leash or whatever in the front yard instead...i'd crate them up until its under control.

Keep the dogs separated! Also take the sick ones to the vet. I lost a Chocolate Lab pup b/c my sister used to work @ an animal shelter & didn't wash her hands before handeling the pup. It's sad to see them go b/c of Parvo. It usually affects younger puppies & kittens than older animals.

move the dogs out of the lot and pour pure bleach in the lot, bleach is the only thing that will stop it. even after 8 months the virus is still active. you need to separate the dogs if you can. the only known cure for parvo that i have personally used is a drug called tamiflu along with immodum and pedilite i hope you can figure out what I'm trying to say my spelling is awful. you need to start all the dogs on tamiflu even if they have no symptoms
i take in sick animals that other people dont want and ive helped many dogs trough parvo and distemper its sad that no matter how hard you try and pray sometimes you cant save them all.

You have to inmediately isolate the other pups and vaccinate them. You have to use strong desinfectants( ammonia, Benzalconium chloride) over the areas where the sick puppy was, because parvovirus can survive from1 to-2 years on the ground,. Some times, is v3ery difficult to erradicate this deasease once installed, so get to work NOW.
