The fact that there are no misspelled words in your question tells me you can probably pass but the score you get will dictate what jobs you are eligible for. The best way to get a high score (110 or above is optimal) is to work on your math and English skills. There are study books you can get at most library's that will help you develop these areas and get a higher score. It can be difficult to change jobs once you're in so do the work now and save yourself a lot of trouble later. Also do not let your recruiter talk you into something you don't want, you can take the ASVAB again and unless you need the money now you can go back to the MEPS station again and again and again. I went back 4 times before they finally coughed up the job I wanted.

Technically there is no "passing" grade, if you don't score well, usually the Army and Marines can waiver you in. But most often you will get crap jobs. Honestly, if you get about a 70 you have a decent selection, but in order to get the higher jobs you need an 80+. At the least I would say a 50 would get you a albeit smaller collection of jobs, you still have some selection. It also depends on what you get in all the categories, each job requires a minimum, sometimes you can be waived, sometimes you can't.

Depends on what type of job you are trying to get. Each job has a different requirement for entry to that specific job. If you want to be a cook a low general score will be fine but if you want to work on higher tech equipment or whatnot then you'll have to have a high score in electronics or mechanical depending on what the job falls under. The recruiter should be able to "show" you, not tell, show you what jobs require what score.
Hope this helps.

It depends on your service, and that service requirements. I think the marines will let you by with a 32, Army 31, Navy, 50 and Air Force? I have no idea.

see the link above. The average seems to be between 35-36 depending on the branch of the military.

ever heard of the oxymoron "military intelligence"? all i know is i took the asvab and i got a 94 and my recruiter wanted me to drive a truck... i wanted to plan military strategy... so he suggests being an IT guy for them.... the asvab needs an overhaul as well as recruiting...

32 to get in, but than you'll be stuck in a combat arms job (infantry, artillary, etc) or something like supply. If you want to choose what you want, get 50+.

30 I think. If you can't get a 30 then you need to go back to school.
