OK. What happens if you go to a 'bad' party, are underage, and get caught by the cops. You did not drink or smoke--it's guilty by association. You don't have a cell phone, no ID or anything. You refuse to tell the cops who you are, your age, or anything. None of your friends are there either. The cops can't figure out who you are. What do they do with you?

If you are underage, as in under 18, you are a juvenile and must be dealt with accordingly. If you refuse to give them your name, you can be cited for obstructing and/or delaying a peace officer, which is a misdemeanour offence.
Assuming you at least told them you are under 18, most jurisdictions would require the police to contact an on-call juvenile probation officer (that is what I am in case you were wondering how I know this). If you give up your name and parent information, you would likely be released to your parents.
Without this information, you would be detained at a juvenile detention center. If you made the police believe that you were over 18, then you could go to jail. You are far better off giving the police the information, since you did not do anything wrong.
As for how long they can hold you, by law (in Nevada), you must be brought before the Court within 72 hours, not including weekends. If you fail to give the Judge your name, you will be held in contempt and could be held indefinitely.

The Pats are going to slap the franchise tag on him. With the uncertainty surrounding Brady's knee and the opportunity of him lacking the 09' season, it would be maximum suitable for NE to tag him as an insurance. If Brady is one hundred% and in a position to play, the Pats will probably try to commerce him to a different team. the two certainly one of them would eat approximately $29 million of the entire income cap. whether he remains or no longer will likely rely on the well-being of Brady.

They cannot release you, and will probably turn you over the CPS. Then you will end up in a foster home until you turn 18, and if you still dont give your name you will not get Social security benefits and will die homeless and pennyless.

Most underage kids will say who they are so they can be released to their parents.
Try it and let us know.
