The Holy Bible says:

"The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly" (John 10:10).

Why does it have to be the work of a Christian religious figure? If I find a prophecy regarding Zeus that predicts it, does that mean it's a wake up call from him?

Bastardization of religion is partly what created this mess. Who will win this "My God is Better Than Your God" crap? Either the one who believes it the most, the one who has the biggest weapons, or the one who can think outside of the box. Not a great fight either way.

Do you people realize what you're saying?

If you use God or the Holy Bible to justify 9/11, and if you say that 9/11 was "allowed by God for a reason," then pretty much what you're saying is that what Osama bin Laden and the hijackers did was OK or at least understandable... because, after all, God WANTED that event to happen anyway, for some reason.

It's a good thing we have freedom of speech in this country, but that kind of viewpoint really, really, indescribably scary.

Not long after 9/11, Billy Graham's daughter was asked why God could allow such a thing to happen. She said that the American people in general had been telling God for so long now that he was no longer needed, no longer wanted, or just not relevant any more. So at the wishes of the people, He stepped aside. It was a wake up call from the devil to say that this is what you get when you become Godless.

I'm not sure who said it, but there's a quote that goes "As long as there is a God, there will be killing in his name".

I am by no means an Atheist, but I think that says it pretty straightforwardly. What we experienced in New York five years ago today is similar to what people experience every single day in other parts of the world. It's a very sad reality. Nothing new has happened here. As per the quote, trying to find a message from this tragedy through a higher power or the devil I feel is quite contradictory.

If only there was a way to communicate AJ Muste's philosophy: "There is no way to peace. Peace is the way."

Who is to say what part either player plays on the battlefield of life? Perhaps it was Satan trying to see if he could get God to intervene or stir up trouble when God has already given freewill which sort of puts him out of the picture for choosing sides. I believe God was there comforting those people in their last moments. Holding their hands as they passed. Answering their cries to him for a quick merciful death. Hold onto the family members who got frantic phonecalls from loved ones. And I can just about assure you he is beyond himself with grief over the devastation. Yes Bush jusmped in to begin retribution, but God said vengeance is mine and I believe He means what he says. We have heard of his awesome powers when riled and I believe this is one of those times. I would not wish to be walking in the shoes of osama and I darn sure would not have wanted to be one of the hijackers who have no doubt gotten their just rewards. God does not forget. He carries a grudge and it can last a long time. Read the old testament if you do not believe me. His wrath is great and terrible and it will eventually find those guilty and bring them their punishment.

Satan is the prince of the power of the air (Eph.2:2 below). Satan is the “god” (2 Cor.4:4 below) of this present evil world (Gal.1:4 below).

2 Cor.4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Gal.1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

Eph.2:2Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

It was a wake up call that President Clinton ignored Bin Laden's threats for too long. Bill should have taken the First WTC bombing a little more seriously.

And the USS Cole bombing...

And the American embassy bombings in Africa...

And....
