what is the difference between hair wax and hair pomade? what do they do for hair?

The pomade I get is Dep Sport. You can get it wet and re-do your hair anytime during the day. Pomade makes your hair look wet, like gel or hairspray
I don't like wax. The stuff I have at home holds my hair in place, but it doesn't make it look wet. I don't like the texture wax gives hair.
