Without going to the vet-you can use over the counter atheletes' foot ointment (Lamisil, Tinactin). It's also contagious from cat to cat and cat to human so be careful and after you touch him/her wash your hands. If it's really bad go to the vet and they will give you a special med and probably some shampoo to use. The cat might try to lick the ointment off-so put some gauze and medical tape over the Lamisil etc...

Ringworm is not really worms but a fungal infection. It can be spread to humans so be careful. Also, the spores that cause ringworm can live in your house for months after the initial infection has cleared causing reinfection so be sure to clean your house the best you can. As for getting rid of it. If this is a small and young kitten you should take him or her to the vet so he or she can prescribe some anti fungal shampoo. I think the kitten would be too young for most medicines so it's important to get a vet in on its treatments. Good luck.

The vet gives you an antifungal pill for your kitty. It would be too difficult go buy Lamasil AF and put it on your cat, plus it would lick it off.

who diagnosed the kitten with ringworm? You need to contact a vet for a prescribed treatment. There is nothing at home that is strong enough to take care of it.

To be certain of exactly what type of worms it has, take the cat to the vet for a thorough exam and vaccinations.
Most likely, it's not ringworm but common tapeworm carried by fleas.
