My guess is that Europeans are becoming more and more arreligious, aren't they?

But do they still care about spirituality although they don't cling to organized religions?

The decline of the church, or lack of attendance is Bible prophecy. In the latter days, there shall be a falling away, or apostasy.

The English word "apostasy" derives from the Greek apostasía or apóstasis ("defection, revolt"; used in a political sense by Herodotus and Thucydides); it is mentioned in a religious context in the Septuagint and the New Testament (e.g., Josh. 22:22 and 2 Chr. 29:19; 2 Thes. 2:3 states that an apostasía must come before the second coming of Christ). It can mean the intransitive "to stand away from," or the active "to cause to stand away from." Thus an apostasy can be an active, collective rebellion or a "falling away."

Some who were once faithful to the church have turned thier backs and resumed the worldly life of self fulfillment and iniquity.

However, some has to do with the church falling away from scriptural teachings so as to not hurt the feelings of the sheep!

Don't feed the sheep, they'll go elsewhere!

The reason for the decline of church attendance in Europe is increased indoctrination of the evolution/humanist viewpoint, and little to no exposure to the flaws in the evolution "theory". There is little credible creationist materials available in the majority in Europe.

education standards became higher

people learned facts and finally discarded blind faith without proof

I hope we can see that in US too

it was happening in the 60's but then the fanatacism and stupidity factor kicked in, my parents bought into it against good sound upbringing and I had to unlearn thier forced faith and see for myself with own eyes

religion tends to try and rule people, a good substitute for military power, control the minds and you control the masses

now we have mass media and tv, Fake News to thank for spreading more lies and fear keeping us mislead and fearful of each other, willing to stand by and let a select group of criminals take the nation into perpetual war

Secularization, consumerism, materialism, rationalization. They are living so well now that they feel they do not need God anymore. However you may still find some very devouted communities in there.
