Acepromazine will help, but not good for long term. It's a prescription sedative in veterinary medicine. Springers are generally crazy their whole lives. Research a breed before you get one generally helps prevent questions like this. Talk to a springer and/or hunting dog rescue group in your area, they should have ideas of where to take your springer to exercise her in your area. Behavioral training, puppy classes, etc work wonders for most dogs as well. Exercise her several times a day and she'll calm down some. It's like a toddler, if you never play with them or train them they will run rampant and cause trouble.

You don't. You might try walking/running with him for at least 30-40min a day but Springers were bred to be energetic, hence the name Springer. Is your dog a hunter? If so take him out hunting and let him run. If he isn't then take him to a dog park and play with him. Games like fetch work wonders. Throw a ball or a frisbee give him something to run after; you'll enjoy the time with your dog and he'll enjoy the exercise

Basic Training of the Puppy - Read here https://tr.im/gPKax
The new puppy is certainly one of the most adorable and cuddly creatures that has ever been created. It is the most natural thing in the world to shower it with love and affection. However, at the same time it is important to realize that if you want to have a well trained adult dog, you need to begin the training process right away. The dog, like its related ancestor, the wolf, is a pack animal. One of the features of a pack is that it has a single dominant leader. Your new puppy is going to want that leader to be you, but if you do not assume that role from the very beginning, the puppy’s instincts will push him to become the leader.
The most important thing to remember about training the puppy during its first six months of life is that it must see you as the leader of the family pack. The essential thing is gaining the trust and the respect of the puppy from the beginning. You will not do this by allowing the puppy to do whatever it wants to do whenever it wants to do it. On the other hand, a certain amount of patience is required. Most people err in their early training by going to extremes one way or the other. Although you need to begin the basic training process at once, you can not expect your dog to do too much at first. Basic obedience training is fine and should include simple commands like sit, stay, and come. Remember that trying to teach the dog advanced obedience techniques when it is a puppy is much like trying to teach a five year old child algebra.
It is also important to restrain from cruel or abusive treatment of the puppy. You can not beat obedience into your dog, and it certainly is not going to engender feeling of respect and trust. House breaking is an area where this usually becomes a problem because of the anger that is triggered when the puppy fails and creates a mess inside the home. Although this issue must be addressed without anger, it most be addressed. If you allow the puppy to eliminate inside the house, it will continue to do so as an adult dog. The same thing is true of other destructive or dangerous behavior such as chewing and biting. Do not expect the puppy to grow out of it. You are going to need to train the puppy out of it, but you should do so firmly but with a sense of play and fun using positive reinforcement and lots of love and praise for good behavior.

As other have said, they are mad dogs, the poilce / security forces use them as sniffer dogs because even after a 6 hr shift they are still packed full of enthusiasm, other breeds get bored after a couple of hours. We had a springer and I kept waiting for old age to calm him down, he lived till 16 and maybe he slowed down a bit in his 15th year, but only a bit :o)

Training classes and lots of activity is your only choices. I may recommend another dog to occupy the springer and give u a break.

I would say have him/her fixed, but that doesn't seem to work on the Springers. My hubby had a Springer mix. I would suggest that you try and train him/her to be less "springy". It might help a little. (unfortunately not much) other than that, you'll just have to love him/her and all the bouncyness...Have fun and good luck.

Springers are very active dogs. They require a lot of exercise. Obviously your dog is requiring more exercise than he is getting. If you don't have the facilities I would take him to a place where he could burn off some of that excess energy, such as a dog park. Play with him as much as you can. That will help a little.

I know two people who can help you:
One is Michael Winner, he certainly helped me calm down when I watched that tv commercial,
second guy is Stuart from Airport (the tv show about Heathrow). He works at the animal centre there and honestly he deserves an MBE - the one Michael Winner turned down - for what he does to those poor beasts, give him a call, he might be busy saving a sparrow from a BA engine but I'm sure he'll know what to do

try training your springer they are natural working dogs and so need the stimulation as they may then get bored and make there own entertainment. try basic training classes and then go on to agility or fly ball that should sort it out
