There is no way I can get to know him. I don't work with him and none of my work mates can introduce me to him. There are no night out at work, we don't start/lunch/finish at the same time and the very few times he gives me that look in the corridor (obviously he or I am not alone!) or we said hello at the coffee machine, I can't utter a word, blush and I've this dead fish expression with my mouth wide open... how charming! ...
This is driving me completely maaaaaad!
If only I could be stck with him in the lift...!
...oh please, don't tell me to keep work and love life separate kind of crap, lots of people manage it perfectly, this is 2006!

Try to make yourself noticed in a positive way. For example, a promotion! OK, that's not easy to get, so good words from your boss or an assignment well done could do too.
You could go ahead and ask him out! Trust me, wasting time making scenarios like "what would have been if it would have been" is pointless. After an innocent dinner where you get to know each other better, things might evolve.
If you aren't so direct, or he's not that kind of guy, take him easy. Start conversations about weather, politics and other boring things until you see his points of view on certain problems, to see what kind of person he is.

You are going to have to 'get into character' and put yourself in front of this guy. Have something to say in advance and make it short and sweet. If he likes you then he will make sure to talk to you more.
You could also find out his email address and send him an email saying hi. Don't overdo it though or he will think you are a stalker. Talking to him a few times will let him know you are interested. If he feels the same then he will want to talk to you more.

The next time he gives you that look in the corridor s*d the fact that you are not alone just go for it gal. give him some story that you need his advice for a job interview or something and have a pen and paper handy to get his number or e-mail. do not just let him take yours. come on girl meetings with blokes that you fancy can be arranged ACCIDENTALLY if you work on it.

haha, I know what you're feeling like. Really, just boost up that confidence hardcore. Don't be intimidated! That's a major thing. Think about it, if you haven't even spoken with him, he has no clue that you think he's gorgeous or that you feel ridiculous when you don't say something to him or that you think about how you want to approach him...don't be intimidated by his good looks. Just think of him as a guy, a good looking guy, just another person. And also think about yourself and how you may be intimidating to a guy, that you're gorgeous too!

If you 2 are destined to meet it will happen without the need to be in the same place at the same time, Dont pressure yourself, by thinking wish i was at lunch break at the same time. Crack on as if he dont exist, guarantee you will end up meeting unexpectedly.

Come on ... talk to him! YOU start the conversation. Be yourself. What is the worst thing that could happen? He doesn't want to go out with you. But, if you don't talk to him at all then you definitely won't go out with him. You have nothing to lose.
