On the surface the video appears logical and well-presented; the problem lies in the presenter's understanding of what prayer is and how it operates in Christian understanding (and I suspect in other religions, as well). What is presented as "prayer" is over-simplified and not at all what most people from various religions would say prayer is.
Two scriptures out of context are cited as proof-texts, which again is problematic.

But you ask what we think of prayer, not what we think of the video. Prayer is a common phenomenon in all of the world's religions, and is a complex, mulit-dimensional activity that operates on a variety of levels and through various modes of experience and consciouness, depending upon how it is being used or implemented.

Studies on prayer are taking place as well from scientific quarters. Since some here may be interested, I am pasting a summary of some of the recent avenues of inquiry. The quote comes from J.S. Levin in na article from the Journal of Alternative Therapies and Health Medicne. January, 1996:

"Re c e n t l y, several excellent books have summarized
the surprisingly large empirical literature on the
effects on health of prayer, spiritual and psychic
healing, and various forms of directed and nondirected
energy or intent. This body of research ,
mostly experimental or quasi-experimental in design, seems to
document a salutary effect of something-- a force? an energy? A f i e l d ? -- considerably more subtle than Western allopathic biomedicinecurrently believes to exist within three - dimensional physical reality. This effect has been demonstrated in most of the more than 150 published empirical studies of these types of healing in human beings and in myriad other biological systems:
enzymes, cells, fungi, yeasts, bacteria, plants, single-celled
organisms, and animals.

Attempts to understand this subtle something have led scientists
in several directions. Aldridge notes that explanations of healing usually invoke paraphysical, energetic, or magnetic
mechanisms. Sheldrake has referred to an extended mind, not
unrelated to his earlier concept of morphic fields. Dossey has
stated that these findings are evidence of a nonlocal mind
whose nonsensory mediatedeffects operate transpersonally.
Ta rt has suggested psias a mechanism for praye r. The
I n t e r n ational Society for the Study of Subtle Energies and
Energy Medicine (ISSSEEM), also firmly in the parapsycol gical tradition, has weighed in with subtle energies, the title of
its professional journal. Aldridge,10 in an enlightened critique of
the spiritual energy lobby, proposes a mechanism based on
information instead of energy. Krippner and Villoldo suggest
consciousness as a possible interface of psi and psychophysiology which may explain healing. Abraham proposes that prayer, as a subset of magic, represents a latent technology or powerlying dormant in man’s unavailable unconsciousness
as a result of disbelief in its effects."

Prayer is conversing with our creator. According to your video you provided, you and the author of the video must think prayer is always asking for something. No that is not the case. It is staying in contact and seeking guidance from someone that knows your future.
It is worshipping Him and telling Him how much you Love and Adore Him. It is admonishing and reverencing Him.

The video that you provided is actually the most idiotic form of explanation I have ever seen or wasted the time listening to.

Don't tempt God. Tell me why would God waste His precious time rolling dice? He has to constantly deal with people like you who unknowingly blaspheme and are unappreciative of the life He has given you. Wake up and know His redemption draws nigh.
