No, don't. The best chicken soup is cooked for a (relatively) long time, which gives the rice a chance to soak up the flavor. Instant rice is processed to make it plump up instantly. If you cook instant rice for the length of time required for good homemade chicken soup, you'll wind up with mush in your soup rather than rice.

Yes you can, but, like the others said, you don't want to over cook the rice. What I would do is cook the soup and rice seperate, then mix them after they are both hot and ready to serve.

you can use instant rice, but just like noodles, put the rice in when the soup is done, and put those 2 items in the soup before serving. you do not want the noodles all soggy!

I agree with coquinegra. Follow the instructions on the package. If you would like a good base to use, use Better than Bullion chicken Paste. Less salt, more flovor than cubes or powder.

Yes you can use instant rice but put it in at the very end of cooking or it will just turn into mush. I recommend that you use regular rice though. That will be much better.

Yes. If you put it in too soon, it will become mushy. if you like mushy, then don't worry, otherwise put it in at the end. I've used it before and it comes out fine.
