YES it is rude every where in the world. Rude is not the word. Disgraceful is a better fit.

farting is rude in the Americas
disgraceful in Asia
and distateful in Europe---even france.

My point is that the europeans are a little less hung up on it.

My children think so--they are teenage girls but I think it is wrong to pass gas in certain situations-hold it and in others when you are outside our not in public then do what you have to
