No you are not strange. If you have never tried a variety of chinese food than you may be some what closed minded, or closed mouth. Always try somethinng befor you say you don't like it. Also be sure you r not allergic to soy or nuts.

Chineese food is amazing, I wouldn't say that you are strange. Just different. There is no such thing as bad taste, only different taste.
