This paper is pro-illegal immigrants in the amnesty sense, but even it says:

"She compares herself to Rosa Parks, the black woman whose refusal in 1955 to give up her seat on the bus to a white man sparked the civil rights movement.

But Parks was defying unjust and immoral segregation. And Arellano and her supporters have yet to make the case--aside from declaring it so--that there is anything unjust or immoral about the laws under which she is being deported.

Arellano--like you, like me--simply wants to provide for herself and her family, and she cherishes the opportunities of this amazing country. But her defiance, such as her declaration that her arrest and deportation will serve to illustrate "the hatred and hypocrisy of the current administration," drips with a sense of entitlement that many Americans find very off-putting."

Oh, and some group called 'Mothers Against Illegal Aliens" has filed for child abuse.

Would it be illegal to start a pool over how long it will be before she is deported?

I have no interest in killing anyone. I just want the government to do its job.

scoopified - the reason her supporters are creating such drama is that they think public opinion will turn their way. I am in favor of showing them it hasn't. I also don't want any politicians to be confused into thinking the general population supports her. I think this has backfired on the pros, to be honest, and I'm all in favor of having it continue to backfire until her most ardent 'supporters' consider her a liability.

I'm sure this case will be resolved once the elections are over. Personally, I would have sent in US Marshalls to arrest her and have her deported, and I would have the US Marshalls arrest everyone who gave her a place to stay (harboring a fugitive). She should have been delared an enemy of the state (along with all other illeagals) and delt with sometime ago, but alas, our elected officials are CANDY A**ES with no backbone or balls!

no matter what the votes count to, she will not be deported just because the chicago tribune's poll says so, or any tv show. there are more than 6,000 deportations and arrests to be made by inmigration. and by this bein popular because shes on a church doesnt give it any priority. she will be deported. shes just another one on the list! and no theres no comparison to rosa parks!!!

No, I don't want to vote. I want her deported and the people shielding her to go to jail. I'm not falling for all of the stupid excuses and no one else should either.

No, not today. I'm surprised you subscribe to this type of action. Not that you should not want her to leave, but that you think the poll carries any weight.

Since she will just come back. Kill her, it is the only way to be sure she stays gone.
