my daughter is running 4 h-queen and she was trying to think of something original to say or do she is already a good student and she is a very good friendand person she also helps alot with any thing going on at the school or in everyday stuff and will help anybody .everyone else thats running is a cheerleader and they're popular because of that .they only hang in clicks ,& use people for what they need . my daughter would like to come up with something that would help her get ahead and win for what she really os which is a true queen. although she doesn't feel that way in the least bit. she has always helped everyone else and stood behind everyone else so this year she decided to go for it herself, but still wants good 4 everyone. she would also die if she knew i had said all these things, but it is true she is very selfless when it comes to herself and other people ,no matter who or what they r or where they come from!

Running against cheerleaders is going to be hard to beat, they are always so popular and they have the jock vote all wrapped up. Tell her to be herself, smile and be happy and that winning really isn't everything. Besides it sounds like she is already the queen in a lot of other people's eyes - isn't that what counts most?

At our school, I've noticed that when it comes to homecoming queen & court, it's the nice girls that win. Really, just tell her to be herself, be nice, be friendly & hopefully others will notice & 'reward' her for what she's done by voting for her. And having a nice girl win isn't that far fetched, at my school they win all the time. Popular people only have so much control over who wins elections. 3 years ago the homecoming queen for our school was definitely not a cheerleader type & not you typical popular crowd girl. But she was friendly and well liked by others because she was nice & friendly and that's how she won. Bottom line is you don't always have to be a popular cheerleader to win. Just be nice, be friendly and of course a few 'vote for me's won't hurt either.

If she is as great as you say, I can't think of anything except to continue being herself. In my highschool, I remember the so-called "underdog" winning because she was so nice. The cheerleader girl was stuck-up and a lot of people really didn't like her and let it show when they could vote anonymously.

Do not laugh. Hire a campaign manager. Not really. But, there's always a kid in every high school is already working on fairly sophisticated levels of political involvement in state and federal campaigns. My son was. That kind of kid WANTS to be asked for help. He or she WANTS to run your daughter's blitz. It's fun to watch that type work a high school crowd.
