Actually, I was having sex with my girl before she went to work. Afterwards while laying in bed we turned on the TV, and the dreadful news came on about the twin towers. I all of a sudden went limp...

I was at work. It popped right up on the Internet almost immediately. I saw the whole thing as it was happening. At the time I worked for an accounting and consulting firm in PA, and some of our employees were working in New York. I spent the entire day either crying, watching news reports, or tracking down our employees, colleagues and friends.
God Bless America.
We will always remember.
P.S. A National Day of remembrance is a very good idea. I second that motion. Amen.

Listening to my boring 10Th grade English teacher, and thinking that what happened was a joke. Also waiting for school to come out of lock down, we had at least 10 different bomb threats. And everyone (the group of people who were in your next class) had to be escorted to there other classes by the local cops.
I actually really had no idea what had happened. It was explained to me latter on by my father, who as a marine, understood what was going to happen latter on and why it was important to listen to things. I didn't even know what the world trade center towers were. I new nothing about them, or terrorists, or anything at all. So much for the public school system.

I had just woke up, it was before 7 am, here in California. It was unusual that I woke up seeing as though I usually sleep in all the time. I turned on the television and saw what happened, I was in 29 palms by the marine base, visiting my ex boyfriend. It was a scary day being so close to a military base.

I was at this very same desk part of the day. Heard the news when driving to work. Left early and saw the smoke plume of the Towers on my way home. Sat and watched TV reports, stunned.

I had taken a vacation day from work to wake up in the morning watching the towers come down. Spent the rest of the day in front of the tv crying.

5 years ago, I was in my dorm room, just got out of the shower, getting ready for class. I was in college. I had endede up being sick all day, so I stayed out of class. I turned on the tv & the news was on, I went through all the channels, yes every single one & they were all the same.

I remember I was at work...when the first tower fell, they called us into the cafeteria to explain what had just transpired. And then they called us back again 30 minutes later when the second tower fell--at that time they sent us home early.
Sobering experience.
