Illegal immigrants by definition CAN NOT receive benefits of ANY kind (except emergency medical care, and basic education).
If an immigrant has a green card he is a resident alien, resident aliens ARE NOT illegal in this country, that is what the green card does, it is proof that they can legally work and be in the US.
