My 11 yo son also has ADHD and diagnosed at 4. I have done much research as well as talk to many doctors and the common answer is it is probably hereditary. However no one really knows the cause for sure.

Honestly, I think ADHD comes from lack of discipline. I am sure that your child's attention deficit "hyperactivity" disorder would cease if you whopped his @$$ and told him to sit the f down and do his homework.

Mine came from cerebral palsy. I also have ADD and bi-polar disorder--along with an optic nerve degeneration disease, and Factor Five Leiden.
