Yes, truth is already established. We know this because there are absolutes in life, the sun will always rise, the flowers will always grow, the seasons will always change -- regardless of what your OPINION of the truth is does not make it any less true. Imagine the guy who decides to prove that gravity is not a truth of the universe. When he goes flying off the building, he WILL go splat. That is truth, not opinion.

As for "evil atheist," regardless of any proof that I or anyone else can provide, your OPINION will not be changed, so why ask the question? Having said that, Flavius Josephus is the greatest historian that ever lived; no historian on the planet argues anything that Josephus has ever said. He is the reason we know anything about the first century Roman Empire, and many other events of the first century. His works are corroborrated by Pliney the Elder, Pliney the younger, Ptolemy, and many other historians of his day.

Josephus tells us plainly that Jesus not only existed, but also of His great works, that Jesus was a great man, and even that Jesus is the Christ.

Further, Jesus is the only Jew on the planet who still has an intact geneology, all other Jewish geneologies being destroyed at the destruction of the Second Temple in 71 AD -- but somehow, miraculously, Jesus' geneology remains intact to this day -- we know who His mother is, and all His progenetors, all the way back to Adam. His geneology is recorded in the first chapter of Matthew of the New Covenant, also called the New Testament.

I ask you, Evil Atheist, how can the people who recorded His geneology over 2000 years ago have known that the Temple would be destroyed so many years later, and that His geneology would be of such great import as to prove out Jesus deity by the mere fact that it exists?

Please provide reliable, empirical evidence supporting the existence of Jesus, and then supply evidence for your assertion that "Jesus is the truth." If you are unable to do so, it will be ascertained by me that your ideas have no credibility, and are supported by the illogical concept of blind faith.

Edit (to Rebecca): Actually, if you could supply reliable evidence, I would change my beliefs. But you have not. Every historian who you mentioned was born decades after Christ's alleged crucifixion (you forgot to mention Lucian, by the way). And who wrote Jesus' geneology? Was it written by somebody during the time in which Jesus lived? What other writings from Jesus' life support this geneology? What historical evidence (from the time that the figures were alive) supports the existence of the other people mentioned in Jesus' geneology? Bear in mind that historical accounts written long after the fact and are unsupported by other accounts are unreliable.

Also, how do you explain that there are two seperate, differing geneologies?

Truth in a sense is something to be judged personally. If I comment that "Cheeseburgers are the best burgers in the world" - would you think it is true?

What about if a homeless kid who has never ate a burger in their life - and got a first taste in a Cheeseburger - wouldn't it be true that a Cheeseburger is the best burger in the world?

There's one truth you can be certain - Blah is anything.
