First of all, I would STRONGLY advise against doing your own senior photographs. Granted, it will be a lil less expensive, but the quality of the photograph and print will be hundreds times less than that of what a professional can provide you.

However, if you still insist on doing it yourself, Photoshop - Corel - JASC all produce programs that will allow you to edit your photos, including putting your name in the lower corner or wherever.

If you want to use your own handwriting, your best bet would be to sign your name with a sharpie on a white piece of paper. Photograph that and transfer it to your computer. Open the signature file and remove the white background. Then just copy the signature onto your senior print and adjust the coloring and layer style. Trying to sign your name with a mouse is quite hard and most people don't have readily access to a stylus pen of any type.

If your digital camera came with software, most set ups have ways to write or print in the pics. Photo Shop and I think Kodak EasyShare have ways to set this up.
