Most people lose about 50 to 100 head hairs a day. These hairs are replaced - they grow back in the same follicle on your head. This amount of hair loss is totally normal and no cause for worry.

The hair may fall out, or be pushed out by the next hair growing from the follicle.
Normally, up to 100 head hairs are shed each day.

As many as five or so - follicles not clumps. There maybe a few more after I get a haircut or take a shower. It is normal for you to lose a very small amount of hair.
