and i wont to renew my wedding vows so he can be part of it i only meet him 5mths ago but it has been fantastic am i being foolish

No it is not foolish to want him to be a part of something that was a very special time in your life. Maybe a good time to do it would be on your next anniversary. This time he can give the bride away.

no you are not being foolish i regained contact with my real dad and arranged to meet up for my 21st birthday that was 5 years ago now i wish i could say i had a happy ending but the month prior dad died and i was denied the chance again renew your vows and keep hold of your dad you may not get another chance you may have had a step father as i have but nothing can replace your real father good luck and hope all goes well for you

Well, how long have you been married? If you are nearing a "milestone" date--10 yrs, 20 yrs etc, no, you can renew your vows just fine.
But anythign other than that, yeah, pretty much foolish. Just have a party like someone else said--your dad should be at the center of attention, not you.

No you are not being foolish at all. A lot of people would like to be in the same postion as you, finding their parent and being able to have a relationship with them. As for the wedding vows, GO FOR IT!!!
