I have been to the Twin Towers lots of times...but the last time was in 1986. My father in law used to work for the Secret Service Agency...and their office was on the 86th floor at one time. There was a restaurant at the top of his building, and we'd always go there for lunch when we'd visit. It took soooo long to get to the top - even in the elevator.
I've visited ground zero twice since 9/11/01 - and it was really very emotional both times. I live in California...but, I have a deep love and regard for New York. It's a wonderful city.

I've been up down them many times. The last time was on the Labor Day weekend before 9/11. I was with some friends from out of town .
In 1976 I was up there with an old girlfriend of mine and we met Phillipe Petite - the aerialist that walked between the towers on a tight rope
I have two friends that survived, and thankfully none that died. I have been to pile of rubble that was once two great buildings and as a long as I live that smell will haunt me.
The term ground zero is actually wrong since it refers to spot on the ground where an explosion occurs and as we all know these explosions occurred many stories above ground.
I resent politicians who prior to 9/11 didn't give a f**k about NYC But once they realized that it would benefit their careers, embraced it.
I will not watch the movie and not just because I hate Nicholas Cage, I just think that it was too soon to make it.

I have been to both the twin towers and ground zero. I work in the building right across from ground zero and seeing it everyday is a constant reminder.

I went to the twin towers in 1980. I went to the top. It was so beautiful. I have a great picture of my sister and I up there. I have not been to Ground Zero in person, but today, my heart is definately there.

I was there all the time had close family working right next to the toweres but the only time I went up higher than tenth floor was to celebrate my birthday in the resturant called windows to the world up on the one hunred and secound floor I loved the way the resturant gave a wonderful view of the city because it spun around in a 360 degree angle it was fabulus to expeirience something like that you din't move the resturant did. Still am amazed that It is there no more .

I worked in the North tower (1 WTC).
I had been in both buildings and the concourse thousands of times.
The term "ground zero" bothers me. It makes it sound like something out of an action movie rather than the scene of a tragedy.

I was in one of them, I don't know which one. It was the one with the restaurant at the top Window on the World back in 1989. I took some snapshots at the view below. I'll never see that view again.
