Jesus as he bible states, Died. Acts 2:27, 31
states that Jesus was not forsaken in Hades (hell).
New International Dictionary, says in old english the word "hell" meant to cover over or in a covered place. No heat was infered.
Helling potatoes, does not mean to cook, it meant to place in a cellar or in a jar in the earth.
So when Jesus died he went to the grave for parts of three days, (Eccl 9:5, 10) was then resurrected, appeared to men and women for next few days, was taken to heaven. Preached to the demons. And on Pentecost 33 CE sat down on the right hand of God and sent God's spirit upon those in the upper room.

The apostle's creed pretty much spells out all the events:
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic [universal] Church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. AMEN.

There is no scriptural reference to Jesus during the time he was in the tomb. Church tradition teaches that He descended to Hell to preach the Gospel to those who had died before Him to fulfill the promise that all will hear His word. Those who accepted His teachings were released from Hell and lifted into Heaven. So great was God's love for His children that His only Son went to Hell to offer salvation to all mankind.

i'm a Christian, too, and it rather is a valid question, one that i've got concept-approximately till now. i do no longer think of that every person the people after Adam and Eve (or maybe Adam and Eve themselves) went to hell with the aid of fact they have been sinners. look at Cain and Abel--God replaced into happy with Abel; it says so. this is basically an occasion, yet i think of people who respected and feared God have been people who went to heaven, people who needed a relationship with Him and enjoyed Him. of direction, God knew they have been sinners, yet that wasn't sufficient to chop up them from Him. people who did no longer prefer to have a relationship with Him--probably went someplace else. i think of the message interior the previous testomony may be summed up as, "the international needs a Savior." the hot testomony, then, is that answer--Jesus is the Savior, and God known it had to be carried out. yet i individually do no longer think of that sinners who lived till now the time of Christ have been basically doomed to hell. Does that help in any respect?

His flight was delayed and he ended up in Poughkeepsie for a day, his luggage went to Akron and after filling out a HEAP of paperwork he finally ended up right back where he started...just in time for Easter. He got some kick@$$ frequent flier miles, though.
