They are normally are ready to breed AFTER the blood tinged discharge stops..before that, they are not receptive or fertile.
they can usually get impregnated the week following the cessation of the bloody discharge, but will discharge a clear yellowish mucous.

Female dogs don´t menstruate. The heat cycle is different in some ways. They have bloody secretions from thier vulvas, but it is not menstruation, it is called metrorragia, because the origin is different. I can´t explain it simple but the dog can get pregnant during the heat fase, even if she has metrorragia still.

During heat is the only time a dog can get pregnant... shortly after the bleeding stops she will be receptive to a male and this is the only time during the year which she is fertile.

Dogs are not humans- they can get pr ego at almost any time, by a multiple amount of males and have litter from each one of them, so 6 puppies can be from 6 males.
The blood is the chemical smell that is the "Red siren" for the males to jump on the wagon for close to 2 weeks or more.
If you want to breed her at some point, get her puppy Menes pads and a security belt and keep her in doors and never unattended. IF your not a breeder. Honestly just get her spade. Low cost centers like SNAPS is a national low cost center.
Best wishes for you both.

Well, since dogs don't menstrate, no. Shortly after a dog stops bleeding from her heat cycle, she will be receptive to males, and that is the time she can be impregnated. If she's ready to be bred, she will brace herself if you apply gentle pressure to her back end, above the tail. She balances and braces for the male to mount her. They don't shed their eggs while they bleed like humans do. Only primates do that.

The answer is yes, that is the only time she can get pregnant.
By the way it isn't menstruating it is "heat" and it usually only occurs twice yearly.

YES!!!! Its called heat, that's when dogs breed. It's really in the best interest of you and your dog to get her spayed if she's not already pregnant. Get her to the vet for a checkup ASAP if you suspect she is pregnant.

Yeas it is the best time to get her pregnet. If you want her too. But for the bleeding to go away it would take about 21 days. You can go to any market like pets mart to get pads for her. Good luck. and enjoy new puppies if you wan t them,
