take your dog out every 15-30 minutes
then about every week lengthen the time you take your dog out when your dog goes to the bathroom give a treat or praise heavily
when you are not home cover a metal dog crate with newspaper put toys and water in the crate. let dog out as soon as you come home! only scold dog for going in your house when you see it. if the accident was not recent dog will not know what it is being scolded for
i hope this helps it worked for me!

There are some good answers above. Also, 10 minutes after you feed the puppy, take it outside for a walk. Give it PLENTY of time to do it's thing. May take 10 or 15 minutes to do his due. Puppies have to pee a lot, so they have to go outside very frequently. Pooping is less. Beatings won't help and will make the puppy paranoid and skiddish. Let it know you aren't happy with it when it has an accident. It won't take long for the puppy to understand it needs to go outside. Before taking it outside, ALWAYS ask the puppy "do you want to potty". The puppy will learn, develop an answer in its actions to let you know yes or no. Some are hard to train and some are a pushover. Teaching in conjunction with an older trained dog will help. I found that is the easiest way. The puppy will tune into the older dogs and follow suit. Good luck. Pops

If your going to be gone most of the day crate training is hard on the puppy. They have limited space and get a crate that has a water bowl attached to the side.
There is another product on the market which goes along with the potty pads is litter training your puppy.

the best method is cage training get a cage that is a good size larger then the puppy if that is not possible pic a room like a bathroom where they can be confind when not 100% in your site. most animals will not potty where they sleep. Just like with a infant they potty often so take them out often. Take them to the same spot they potty outside each time that way they smell it and realise this is a place that they should go to. They should get used to it much faster that way.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aL1Ow
A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

Crate training! Worked wonders for my little guy. It will help the puppy develop its bladder muscles, and get him on a schedule for going outside. Let him sleep in there, but you'll have to get up once or twice in the night to let him out while he is small.

You could crate train him or buy peepee pads leave them in a certain area in your home and then slowly move pads outside to where you want him to go. If he makes a mistake in the house make sure to pick it up and take it to where you want him to go so that the smell is on grass or wherever outside he would normally go. Lots of work depending on stubbornness of dog. Good luck

Just like kids~ Take them out AM, Midday and PM (2X's) playtime then bedtime. Rule is just-take them OUT before you put something IN them and OUT before/after you put somthing IN them for long periods of time.
Do not leave water out after the last walk. Give them a sip and night night for it. Offer treats for "good boy" moves. I would be careful about the "puppy pads" We really don't want them ever thinking tis okay to pee/poo in the house on the floor. I have used cat boxes for the dog's as well. good luck!

Crate training!!! Also keeps puppy feeling safe when you are away and saves shoes, furniture, etc. from getting chewed.
