I have always gotten used to giving my kids a bath every other day, one is six and a half and the other is two and a half. During the summer of course I try to give them a bath as often as needed. My two and a half year old has had a real bad runny nose for the past two days and I gave him a bath yesterday morning to go to church, I do not know but I really do not want to give him a bath tonight thinking that it might not help him much with his runny nose. Moms, I am not trying to be noisy, but how many of you do this kind of stuff, I mean, yes, they are kids, and you should get them used to giving them a bath everyday, but what about when they havn't sweated and are sick?

skipping a day is no big deal at all. it only matters if you tell them to take a bath and they say no...then you have to make them (or provide some sort of good reasoning as to why they can not take the bath).

It's not a big deal not to give him a bath, as long as you like wipe him down with like a wet cloth, but I think a bath might actually help him, if he like has a fever or something, or even just for his runny nose.

What are you thinking kids need baths every day period. They can do some disgusting things that we never see they need to be washed. A bath is likely to help the childs runny nose as well as make him feel better. Do you take a bath every day. I sure hope so.

I give mine a bath everyday, but i think that it helps to wash the germs away. You can also get this stuff by Johnson and Johnson called vapor bath. It helps with the stuffy nose. Really stop and think about it, Don't you sleep better and feel better with a good hot bath especially when you aren't feeling well.

Actually, I think giving him a bath might help his stuffy nose. You can put that lavender eucalyptus baby bath in it and it will be sort of a vaporizer. I gave my kids a bath daily, no matter if they had sweated or not...but of course, there are acceptions. If the kids have a fever and are vomiting, you can wait until they're over it.

I give my daughter a bath every other day. Unless we play in the mud or finger paint . Just give them a bath as needed. If they get dirty bathe them, if they don't get dirty give yourself a break! You deserve it. Being a mom is the hardest job in the world.

It's okay to skip a day.
My parents had a rule for my brother when he was younger. During the school year, he had to take a bath on days that had a "T" in them: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
In the summer, it was every day that ends in "Y"!
Don't worry, be happy!
(I hope your child's sniffles go away soon!)

you should try to give your kids baths everyday just becuase they are kids. Kids don't understand what hygiene is. Just give him a bath because it will probably make him feel better.
