I think you are way too young to have been a glint in a milkman's eye. I think they quit delivering milk at the very least 30 years ago. I think I would just ask mom about it. If it is true you can't do much about it and if it isn't alls well.

I might be going against poplular opinion here, but it does NOT mean that your father is the milkman.

It is an expression used, when referring to a time before your parents were even considering having what turned out to be you.

So basically your mom and dad were not thinking about (having or conceiving) you, but maybe the proverbial milk man was thinking about a certain activity that could have resulted in you everytime he saw your mom.... hence the glint in his eye......

Maybe it is your mom's way of telling you that you were not a 'planned' pregnancy, but something that came more out of the spur of the moment..... but who knows...u better ask her about that....

so relax, the milkman has nothing to do with it....

When milk use to come straight from the dairy there were milkmen who would deliver the milk to all the houses. Now milkmen don't exist anymore. The other answers were correct in that it is a way of saying that the milkman is your father, but it is mostly a joke, and it loses it's meaning more and more each year.

i individually think of that ppl would desire to be far extra knowledgeable approximately issues inclusive of modern-day to boot as historic racism, sexism, and so fourth and that i dont comprehend why it isnt carried out already! Ha if i individually had time identity start up a circulate or some thing yet im too busy analyzing at uni. I believe christina - possibly it is unfair to have scolarships what is going to help in basic terms women folk or minorities yet minorities, espicially racial minorities elect rather extra help in the meanwhile to be on equivalent footing with others who may be much less marginalized. some ppl who're marginilized have much less components available to them and so fourth. In that experience, a majority of those scolarships are reaching for equality Edit; races dont owe different races something - is approximately making specific all human beings has a gamble and that people who're marginalized atleast have components so as that they could have a number of a similar possibilities at existence as all human beings else. Its no longer approximately owing ppls ancestors something, its approximately making specific that ppl who elect help get help.

She is trying to tell you, in a roundabout way, that you are closely related to the milkman, that you share half his DNA ... in other words: the Carnation Man is your pop.

This info might become important in the future -- for medical or inheritance purposes.

I suggest you look into the the man's situation. If he develops a genetic disease (god forfend!) or wins the mega-lottery, you need to know.
