Depends on the standard of your diction and vocabulary.You can buy total english book of the highest level if needed and buy it at ganagrams in delhi.

semantics by george yule is good in fact anthing by georgle yule with regards to the english language is pretty good, the best way is to speak to english users watch bbc world news and the radio world service sky news etc.

Advanced Grammar in Use (3rd edition) by Raymond Murphy. Don't know if you can find it in Delhi, but I use it to teach my students.

the best that i have come across is the five volumes by FATHER AG REGO it consists of separate books on essays , synonyms antonyms short stories etc...don't be afraid of reading five books ...they are not very thick and very easy to understand and practise try it and you will thank me someday for suggesting it...all the best
