I have prayed the rosary many times. My thought is that it's like self-hypnosis. It's chanting and meditation.

I have prayed the rosary when I was younger. I feel whatever makes the person feel better, If they want to pray the rosary 20 times, then let them. Its not harming anyone. Pray is between you and GOD.

I did in Catholic School. The Rosary is just a counting device - to keep track of how many prayers you have prayed. Supposedly, more is better.

BTW Peeps, you don't pray TO a rosary.

I pray the rosary every single day and sometimes more than once a day. It is a beautiful meditation on the life and events of Jesus. I love our Blessed Mother and all her efforts to bring all of humanity close to her Son Jesus through the devotion of the rosary. My thoughts on the praying of the rosary are much like that of our Late Pope John Paul II "Todus Tous".

I pray it daily sometimes 2 or 3 times.

One of the best things that can be done.

The rosary is the book of the blind, where souls see and there enact the greatest drama of love the world has ever known; it is the book of the simple, which initiates them into mysteries and knowledge more satisfying than the education of other men; it is the book of the aged, whose eyes close upon the shadow of this world, and open on the substance of the next. The power of the rosary is beyond description.

I grew up Catholic and prayed the rosary many many times. I am no longer Catholic so I don't pray it any more. I still keep my first rosary and my grandmothers.

I've prayed it before and plan on praying it in the future. However, because I have ADD I find it hard to concentrate on so I only do it every once in a while. I usually pray the Divine Office instead because it has more variety and thus I can concentrate on it better.

I grew up praying with the rosary as I was taught by my mommy but that was rubbish because I was not what my mom and many people thought I was.Now I have given my life to Christ and the lies of the enemy of the gospel through the rosary has been banished from my life.

I carry a rosary in my purse, but it's been neglected for awhile. I used it a lot when my son was sent to Iraq. It gave my hands something to do while I was praying. Sort of makes me a hypocrite in that I don't attend church anymore. When I was divorced I was automatically ex-communicated by the church. But being raised a Catholic, I still find comfort with the beads.

I remember the nuns, for hours on their knees, doing the rosary. I hated doing it catholic school-probably why I got kicked out after 4th grade. I think it is a complete waste of time and very typically catholic-the more you suffer, the more it shows you really care (who would have guessed that the Offspring was catholic!).
Like the repetition is going to get you bonus points or something.
1 pair of hands working gets alot more done than 100 pairs of hands praying.
