Some say that if you don't live and believe in Jesus Christ , when you die,

Death is your Hell because you don't get to live with Jesus in Heaven.

If this is the cause of what you believe, what is the LAKE OF FIRE and Gnashing of Teeth mean to you?

Hell is the place of torment, that is where there is weeping, wailing, gnashing of teeth, outer darkness, pain, insufferable heat, unquenchable thirst, and total desolation. Before the millenium, the false prophet and the antichrist were thrown in the lake of fire, satan had been chained up in the abyss for the thousand years, and when he was let loose for a while and marched against God's people and God defeated him and threw him into the lake of fire. Then God judges the dead and the ones whose names were not found written in the book were cast into the lake of fire along with death and hell. So hell is thrown into the lake of fire too. Revelation 20

Lake of fire is where you go if you are not a believer and have not accepted Jesus. Gnashing of teeth is just a saying of the time to let you know it is a terrible feeling you have as you do not have God but are separated. No way is there any eternal life for anyone in Hell as most tell you. I will give $100,000 to the first one that can show me proof anyone will live for eternity in Hell. See 1 John 5:12. Check out the site below for some studies that will show you what the bible says.

Hm mm
Death = opposite of life. No knowledge, or awareness. Eccl. 9:5
Hell = Grave of mankind. (See referrences below)
Resurrection = Return to life. Re-creation Mat. 19:28
Lake of Fire = Not a literal fire as death, and Hades are thrown there as well. Rev 20:13 (these are not burnable.) Lake of fire symbolic of complete end from which there will be no resurrection. This judgement from God is given to disobedient ones AFTER they have been resurrected and refused to be obedient. = 2nd death
Gnashing of teeth = denotes anguish or dispair.

Really how sad to be forgiven of sins by once exercising faith in Jesus' sacrifice and then becoming disobedient, or by paying for your sins with death (Rom 6:23 wages sins pays...) only to be given an opportunity to be obedient and refuse it.

Hope this helps. You seem to be searching, hope you find.

I believe the unrighteous are in Hades right now. Death and Hades will be thrown in the Lake of Fire.
Gnashing will probably be the eternal torment and how angry you will be at yourself for not believing what the Bible said and accepting Jesus Christ's love.

Hell is an ancient greek word that just meant the common grave.

The lake of fire denotes total destruction in judgement day for individuals where no resurrection into life is possible because of their badness, it is the symbolic everlasting cutting off.

Every religion in the world today states that if you do not believe in that religions specific God then you will spend eternity in Hell, or some form thereof. So, if Muslims don't believe in the Christian God then all Muslims go to Hell. If Christians don't believe in the Muslim God then all Christians are doomed to hell. Well if this is the case, isn't everyone that belongs to any religion going to go to Hell? They sure don't believe in the other religions God. They only people that don't seem to be damned for eternity are atheists.

I don't pay much attention to a bunch of Iron age mystics trying to interpret Bronze age mystics on how they think God will punish folks who don't share their same superstition.

What kind of fuel do you think stokes the fires of damnation? Wood, Petroleum, coal, Fission, Fusion? Is the system automated? Who runs the control room? Is it non-polluting? Does anyone care?

Even the sun burns out. So do you move THE DAMNED to a new fuel source or refill the old one? Who delivers the fuel? Is there a pilot light that has to be re-lit? Even demons have to want vacations, standard working hours! If your working for all eternity you have to get job burn-out (SNICKER!!!). How are you gonna threaten to punish them if they don't do all the hard work of eternal torment? An option is to make the DAMNED work as scabs, but again what is the motivation. Maybe they just are lazy and want to lay around eternal damnation. Send them to a Hell that is cold ?..(I am partial to snow skiing myself so not much threat there)
These are the eternal questions that bug me about the eternal burning hell. After all, I want to make sure those sinners get whats coming to them.

"Some" are mistaken. Jesus spoke more about Hell than he did Heaven. He wants all to be saved. There is most definitely an eternal hell - how about Lazarus and the rich man... God bless you. ~Nisa

The gnashing of teeth is the frustration you feel for eternity for knowing you chose the wrong door.
