Why are people only worried about one group of immigrants?

Why are so many people only worried about one group of immigrants (those comming over the Mexican border), and show no concern about those comming over the Canadian boarder (If I remember correctly, there are at least that many, if not more, people crossing illegaly)?

In case you were wondering where I stand on this, I do not believe in country borders.

Buzzy: My facts are straight. It seems, through the media and through other answers, that it is only this one group of people that many (not all, though) are concerned with. Raping the USA? That could have been worded differently. Please realize that most are not comming here to take from welfare, but many are comming here to be with their families or to get jobs. If you were from over the border (either side), and your family was hear, I know you would try to join them, regardless of legality (if not, then why not? It's your family, for crying out loud). I did not once mention race, that was you. I said the southern border because that seems to be where attentions are placed (Minute Men...). Also, as for crying, I asked a question that I tried to word without bringing any sort of crying into it. You are the one who attacked my question.

Mexicans are focused on because of the sheer numbers. Even the Border Patrol classifies illegals into 2 groups: Mexicans and OTMs (other than Mexicans).

If Canadians were crossing the border in the same sheer hordes and were draining our resources as much, we'd surely be hearing a lot of bitching about those damn Canadians.

I am for country's borders. If they tear down the borders, the US will be dragged down to the rest of the world's level. We're a first world country, and I have no intention of seeing the US sink to a third world country.

NO ONE is worried about 1 group of immigrants get your facts straight.
It is Illegal Alien Invaders in general that are raping the USA. Not only across the southern border, but the northern also.
You only pulled the race card because your reasoning and facts are indefensible and race is all you got.

Hispanics are on the radar screen for one reason only, because there are so many of them and there is a lot of news footage showing groups crossing the border.

Most immigration is associated with financial hardship and opportunity. Canada is not a big problem.There is the same problem with Irish illegal immigrants. With the ocean providing a natural barrier, their numbers are nothing like what is coming from the Mexican border.

I live in AZ and our illegals are from Mexico .There has been an invasion of illegals and they seem to never stop coming.They over burden our city's our states .They use all of the infrastructure and pay non of the property taxes that support them.The school,hospitals and clinics are going to hell because of the extra amount of none tax payers that use and abuse the system.
Your idea of country's without borders will never exist,its unrealistic and childlike in its simplicity.Who would make the laws? Who would feed the masses ? All the different people of the world would not stand by and let this happen.We live in the real world and your euphoric vision is never going to occur in yours or our great grandchildren lifetime.That Socialistic form of "commune"

Mexicans make up the largest group of illegal CRIMINALS invading the U.S. Did you forget so soon the way that they behaved on May 1? No real American wants menaces like that here. They are a pestilence that needs to be gotten rid of.

Most people I've heard from are opposed to ALL illegals or in favor of blanket amnesty. The only ones I've heard mention a specific race are members of that race.

We are concerned about both, and about interior enforcement, as well. However, it is only the southern border where they come across in such a flood that the border patrol can't even stop all they see.

Because the U.S. is only letting in very limited amounts of people from other countries while they are allowing Mexicans to come in by the thousands everyday.
