Lambs are herbivores, although they eat all sorts of stuff in their feed. While some lambs are kept as pets, most are livestock, and we don't eat our pets here in the USA. Dogs are omnivores, so will eat meat and plant matter easily without it having to be disguised. We feed our livestock, here in the USA, meat products in their feed, as we do lambs. Any livestock animal that is being raised to slaughter for human consumption is fed other animal byproducts and such as added protein to their diet. So we do make herbivores eat meat in this country. It's not inhumane to feed a dog to a lamb if the lamb wants it, but unethical in this country due to the pet status of dogs.

If one would think about that as an interesting question.

One one term if nature were to take its course dogs would hunt lambs if hungry enough. I doubt lambs would ever eat a dog (HA) so I would say if a lamb ate a dog it would have rabies or something and even then it would probably just bite the dog.. (highly unlikely obviously) ^_^

It's one of those rhetorical questions if anything, huh?

I was not even aware that was an issue :|
Not sure how that could be considered 'inhumane' since #1 lambs/sheep are herbivores and dogs aren't, and #2, they also aren't human.

Lambs are not carnivores, so it would be cruel to make a lamb eat dog. Besides dogs are pets lambs are livestock, so unless you live in some third world country, pets do not get eaten!!!!!

Depending on which country you're in, that might not be considered inhumane. It depends on which animals are kept as pets in a particular culture, or revered for some other reason (i.e. cows in India). But then, I don't think you were looking for an actual answer.
