Yes to both. I don't think anyone can deny that a blessing or curse performed by someone is real. Now, whether they have any real power over people is a different question.

I think that if you believe that you have been blessed or cursed, then yes, it will affect you as intended. The mind is a very powerful thing, and one can easily find a pattern in random events to make them fit a circumstance. Consider all the people who claim that Nostradamus prophesied the fall of the Trade Towers and the rise of Hitler to power.

Blessings and curses can affect people in the sense that they have a very real social reality. In the eyes of an individual's community, the belief that an individual has been blessed or cursed may have "effects" on her standing and her opinion of herself. In a similar way, receiving an award or an endorsement from a powerful person can affect an individual's opinion of herself. So, in a social and psychological sense, they are real.

Blessing and Curse are for real. In this modern world we call it Cause and Effect. Good and Bad Karma. You do good things, chances are it comes back to you in fold (unlucky ones are treated differently). You do bad things, bad things comes back (for lucky ones, sometimes it makes you prosper if you can go unchecked but not all the time or not for long)

everything in the universe is ultimately energy including us and all solid appearing "physical things". we consist of energetic components at subtler levels which "feed" the denser physical level. one of the "secrets" of magic(k) is to be adept at "manipulating" energies to help bring about desired results, for good or for ill. thus, competently directing beneficial energies, heal. and the opposite is true as well, sadly. these energies will effect that subtler level, and then the physical. thus, blessings and curses are real. depending on the competence and "magical authority" of the sender a "curse" could have significant impact on the target at that subtler level and finally the physical. a good way to counter this possibility is to set up competent (magical) defenses. there are books on this topic. ;-)

Yes each are real. For example, I am not Christian but I think my parents prayers to 'God' have a beneficial effect on me even when I don't know they are doing this. Also, if a person is not 'centered' and strong in their spirit a curse can do harm to them. I also live in the land of voodoo.

Yes I do ! however when a christian lives in a close relationship with GOD Others cursing will not have any effect! (blessing= favor) When a christian stays obedient to GOD, blesses or curses, it really has a supernatural effect!

They can only have an effect if the blessed or cursed believes. It is purely psychological - a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you believe it will happen, often you will make it happen.

Definitely, and this isn't always mumbo-jumbo. A father telling a son "You'll never amount to anything" can be a real curse.
