I woke up a few days ago and I was sure I had an ear infection so I went to one of those urgent care places. They said not really and redness or infection! Then she touched a spot by my ear- I guess its the joint for where your mouth opens? WOW did that send me thru the roof! HURTS! I cant open my mouth real wide and yawning-coughing- and chewing hurts. Could this be a broken jaw??????

Probably not. More than likely you are suffering from TMJ (tempo-mandibular joint) pain. Go to your dentist, not your physician.

See a doctor. We can't give you a diagnosis over the internet. What it really sounds like is an infection in your jaw, rotting away at the jaw. Broken jaw makes it extremely hard to even use your jaw.

See a doctor.

I don't think jaws just break like that and I do know the feeling you're describing, I just let it pass because I really didn't want to see a doctor and I've been fine ever since, but if you're too worried see a doctor.

When is the last time that you saw a dentist? Maybe you have an abscessed tooth. An infected tooth can be serious.
