Ask your lawyer, or the officer who wrote you up.

Each state's laws differ, but most all recognize each other's convictions, especially concerning DWI's. The time limit is the main factor. I believe most states allow five years between convictions to keep the charge at a first offense. If your two arrests are less than five years apart then most lilkely yes, you stand to be charged with DWI 2.

I hope so and I hope that on your third offense, they put a bullet in your head and put you out of our misery!!
You have NO RIGHT to take other peoples lives into your incapable hands by driving while intoxicated.
Or maybe, they should just cut off your hands so you can't do either!!
No pity for you!! I hope they catch you BEFORE you kill some one!!

You don't deserve to have a license. Why the f*ck do you keep driving drunk? I have no respect or sympathy for people who drive drunk, especially repeatedly. What happens when you kill someone? Have you ever heard of Gordon House? He was a repeat drunk driver, he ended up killing a mother and her children, leaving the father and one child left behind to grieve. Look him up, it happened in NM, and right before Christmas. Do you think that family has any happy holiday's now? If you can't control yourself, then stop drinking. Sorry but drunk drivers really piss me off!

In an age when computers connect everywhere, having a violation in another state is easily accessed. All it takes is someone willing to request the information.

Good luck. Maybe Texans are lazy.

Only if the two states exchange crime data. That sounds improbable but might be routine someday. You still have 48 more states you can drive drunk in, before you need to clean up your act.

It's a second offense for you! It's probably just a single offense in each state.

It will impact your insurance, and may impact your driver's license, depending upon the DMV computer system in Texas and its ability to compile records from NJ.
