Most fries are not prefried, the ones that are prefried will say oven-able on the package, those are prefried for color.
All other fries are blanch in water, pass through a dryer then flash frozen.
If you have a processing plant near you they may allow tours. I suggest if possible take one for your own benefit.

They are actually flash-fried and frozen right away. The ones that are baked & then frozen tend to have a coarser, hollow texture when you heat them up through baking.

Ooh...i love both....yet i might want to might want to assert that baked potato wins with the help of a really slender margin. i'm questioning about the melted cheese, chives, bitter cream, 1st Baron Verulam bits, pepper, and different multiple yummies you may placed on a baked potato... make sure that's a huge russet potato because for baked potatoes those are wonderful!

IF they're oven chips, cook them in the oven.I don't think you're going to get enough grease off them for them to be classed as fried

Well, if you want to stay away from grease, just bake them anyway. They are cut potatoes. Maybe they fry them maybe not.

They are raw. The potato is pushed through the slicer and then frozen immediately and then bagged. Jeez, don't you ever watch the Food Network?

They are partcooked then frozen.
And they will only have a greasy feel if you defrost them to much before cooking them
