...you'd think it'd HAVE to be that way if we're all held accountable for original sin no matter what, but..... no one likes to think about babies suffering, so of course everyone will tell you that they all go to heaven.
I'm an atheist so I'm going to answer yes or no because as far as I'm concerned Heaven and Hell don't exist.

IF original sin is true (I personally think that it is not true), then yes, technically a baby that is a minute old is destined for hell. Now, in some religions, it might make a difference whether the baby is baptised or not. If it is baptised, then it will go to Heaven. If it isn't baptised, then it goes to what is called Limbo, which I believe is a part of hell, but kind of in the suburbs, if you know what I mean...not so hot :-)
There are also some Protestant denominations that do not practice infant baptism who bring in the idea of the age of consent. Meaning, a person cannot choose to follow Jesus when they are an infant...they have to enter fully into knowing what it means. So until a person reaches that level of maturity or age to fully comprehend the meaning of baptism, they're ok...but if they're one Sunday after I suppose they're doomed.

Most of the answers I've read so far say that all babies that die, go to heaven. I think a deeper question is, if there's a chance that they could have rejected God after the age of reason, is it better that they all die young? And that leads to some pretty macabre thinking. Therefore the only answer that makes sense (to me anyway) is that yes, original sin does exist, but it's up to God, not us to make the final determination as to where the child spends eternity. Our job is to simply serve Him and trust in his sovereignty.

We were born with a sin nature. We enter this world with a clean slate, and only after we reach an age that we know right from wrong does it become sin. All babies and young children who die, go to heaven.

Well very good question witch atheist and science cannot answer
watch and focus on your question take an silence, of few second you have asked do babies are born with sin answer is yes.
simply because soul has taken a body or new birth if his account and sins previous birth require stiff punishment in order to erase the impression of previous karma than yes you are born with sin and you settle with tragedy of punishment call it death in childhood as you are saying. .souls who take birth as child feel the punishment inside but cannot say as his organs are that developed in infant stage. This is no less than hell anything you do you settle here on this earth .
hope you would have understood somewhat. and if you still have some dought i suggest sit is silence and ponder this is nothing but an science of discovering truth.

My answer is No... while this is not specificaly covered in The Bible It is implied in that The Bible is all about God and His Love.
A new born is inocent in this world. Even one of a young age as not to be able to truly know Good and evil would not be condemed to hell. This refers to The Age of Accuountability. That age can only be known to God and would vary with the individual... But I would offer that the age of puberty would be a general time line...
what is ment by being born with the sin nature is very evident in even the very young however... I have never known a child who was able to speak who did not lie... but this is not a sign that the lie means they understand all of the ramifications of the lie... it is usulay as self serving act... "no I didn't do it, He did it.."

Babies are not destined for hell!
The bible is clear on this.
How can the Pope not know the answer to this most fundamental question.
Who are they talking to all these for all these years?
Just in case someone wants futher BIBLICAL study on this issue, see http://www.gospeltruth.net/OS100bibleverses.htm
How someone can take for example:
1Cor.15:22; As in Adam all die even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
.....and interpret that to mean "we all inherit sin", is beyond me.
Here Paul is saying, because of the sin of Adam we all DIE (a physical death). But Christ was given by God, that we may all live(a Spiritual life (after death)).
Peace

Dear Tru Dys,
Everything that we know about God we can pick up from the Bible. In this particular issue there are many that argue that babies are not of an age of accountability.
The Bible does teach that man is born with original sin- and we know that to be true because no one has to teach a baby to disboey.
The Bible also does teach us a couple of things about God:
1) He knows everything. A bible passage that helps me make sense of this issue is in the OT David was running away from Saul who was trying to kill him. David hid in a cave and asked God if it was a good idea to go to a particular city--- God told him if he did Saul would kill him. The Bible also teaches that God knows our hearts, God knows a word before it's even formed on our lips-- the idea is that God knows us and knows the future, and so perhaps God knows how that baby would have lived out his life.
2) The Bible also teaches us that God is a fair and just God and a good God. And i think that this is where i trust that however God deals with this issue that it will be just and fair.
i don't think the Bible addresses this particular issue - it just teaches us to know God and trust Him, and i hope in the two points above- i've clearly expressed that and also helped answer your question.
Hope that helps. kindly,
Nickster

you have no idea of what it is to be born in original sin!
No babies until they reach the age of accountability will always enter the kingdom of heaven!

No, for they are not old enough to realize their sin. Once a person is old enough and mature enough to have realized that they're a sinner by the curse of man, then God can hold them accountable for it until they have "space" to repent, be baptized and be filled with the Holy Ghost. Since a little baby hasn't got the mental capacity to fathom all those things, it is innocent and goes to Heaven.

Of course babies do not go to hell. Hell was created for Satan and his followers. Only people who reach the age of accountabilty and reject the gift of Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ will go to hell. And it's their choice. No one sends them there. God wants everyone to be with Him and that's why He sent His Son to die for our sins. But because He is such a gentleman He will Not force anyone - He gives us a choice to accept or reject
