Well i am not really asking about dating in particular, just the image or stereotype when a oriental man comes in mind.
Oriental = japanese, chinese, korean. (yellow skinned)
I am from singapore, currently studing in USA, and i got to admit, my White male counterparts, are definetly more confident and agressive when it comes to women. Guess its cultural upbringing.
But again i really want to know the image of oriental men are to white girls.

It really depends on each person. I am white but most of my friends are Asian or Asian American. Some of are ladies men, some are total dorks, some have no idea what to do when a female is near, while others seem very caught up in their ethnicity. Wow, that sounds like every other guy I know, no matter what race. I know some girls who think that asian men are more efeminate or gentler, but I have never seen that displayed unless someone was purposfully showing that image. I take everyone as an individual, and I do keep in mind culture and upbringing. I know I would not be the person I am today without my parents, for good or bad.

I liked an Asian guy once. It never worked out. But its not about race or ethinicity. Its about bieng attracted to each other and getting to know each other. Its good you are open to people of a different culture. I hope you find a sweet girl of any race/ethnic background.

As a white girl, dating a Filipino guy, I don't really think that I stereo type. I do know that for me the first time I met my man, I had to talk to him because he was different, and mysterious. I loved the fact that he was a little shy too.

I'm sorry, it's nothing personal, but I can't think of an Oriental I find attractive. I have worked with some that have a really good sense of humor, and of course they are intelligent, but I think they're too small in body stature.

I find some oriental men attractive just like I find some white men attractive. It just depends on the person. I wish you luck. Just try to be yourself.

A better question would be why you are solely fixated on white women. You are contributing to this skewed "cultural upbringing" theory you have. If you think that dating a white women will be your key to Americanization (made up word, I know), you're sadly mistaken. You'll always be who you are.

I've always used Oriental to describe food or a rug, never people. Is that politically correct - I typically say Asian...
