Well~I know it sucks, but I'm sure it will pass. My younger brother (20 now) did not stop wetting the bed until he was about 14. My mom took him to the doctor and was told that his bladder was weak. Try making sure he uses the bathroom before bed. He's in college now and has a girlfriend and everything, so he turned out just fine. :o) He can even laugh about it now! Just try to avoid getting upset with him. Tell him you want to help him figure out whats going on. Good luck!

my daughter is 10 and she still has trouble. We tried everything from not giving her anything to drink after 6pm, waking her up at night, getting her a clock to wake her up periodically in the night and even a watch that vibrates every so often to wake them up so they can go, but none of it did any good. The doctor gave us a prescription of desmopressin and it absolutely works wonders because she has been on it for about 10 months and after about 2 weeks on it she can sleep all night and not wet the bed. It could be your child has an over-active bladder.

If you are serious, then purchase a bedwetting alarm. The moisture sensing device is the most effective method to help your child stop wetting the bed. It is a proven medical fact.

definatly a DR check is in order, to make sure everything is healthy. The DR may also be able to help you figure this out. Is your child feeling stress or anxiety?

Take him to the doctor. He might have a narrow urine tube, which causes the urine to back up, eventually leading to kidney disease. If that's what it is, you want to catch it soon, because if it gets too bad he'll need a transplant.
