No idea buddy... good luck.
But do yourself a favor, call them back and ask what it's about. You shouldn't have to go in there without knowing what the deal is. Ask a lawyer if you're really worried. Also, I haven't heard of someone being arrested for missing school, unless it was a requirement as part of probation.
Not knowing how this works, but I would assume that if they wanted to and had reason to arrest you, they would/could come to your house and arrest you their.
Otherwise, let's put an add in the paper for all the Most Wanted in America, and tell them to show up at the station so that we can arrest them. That should get them there.
Good luck

Don't not show. That is trouble, if they were going to arrest you (which I doubt I have never heard of sombody getting arrested for truancy unless they were caught WHILE BEING truant). If they were going to arrest you and you don't show, they could go to the court and get a warrant which would make things more difficult for you, it is always harder if the law has to chase you for somthing.
I would just go and face the music, being truant or even being arrested for being truant isn't a big deal in the long run... trust me.
However I will offer this advice if you were cutting classes at school, stop, and go to them and pay attention because trust me bro, you can't get ANYWHERE worthwhile in life without an education. I am making only 2/3rds what I am worth because i don't have a god damned degree, and it was hard as hell to get this job. So I am finishing my degree now, but it is easier to do when you are younger, and have fewer responsibilities... ok lecture over.

Not showing up will only make it worse, so you might as well go and hope for the best. Showing up will at least show them that you have started to mend your truant ways and you may get off. If you don't show, they will certainly issue a warrent.
Dress nice, don't curse, and if you can prove that you have been showing up for school this year (bring an attendance record from your office or note from you teacher saying how you've improved ...blah..blah...blah) all are things that will make a good impression which you want to do since your freedom pretty much rests on how you come of in this meeting (yes, it's hyprocritical, conformist, etc, but it is what you need to do to stay out of jail, so suck it up, no one can do this for you).
Good Luck.

I do. this is called truant! You better go or else they are going to arrest you for not showing up. It's too late to be scared and you are in a tight spot either way it goes. Whether you show up or not. If you do show up, since you are 16, your parents are going to be responsible for you. This happened to me when I was sophomore in high school. They charged her 500.00 fine. That's why they say bring parents because you are still underage. Don't be fooled tho cause they can lock both of you guys up.Just go, do what they say so you can get out of this situation. You are young and need all the education you cab obtain. Hard to get jobs now with just High school diploma. Be careful with the law.....they play no games!

By all means go! And take your parents or guardians. More than likely they'll just talk to you. In some states, they can arrest your parents if you don't go to school. I know school can be a hassle, but in the long run, it's worth it. Stay cool, don't cop and attitude and be respectful, that will go along way to helping you out. Good luck, sweetie.

Yes you definitely have to go. If you do not you will definitely get arrested. What did you do? It depends on what you did whether or not you get arrested. If it wasnt anything serious you dont need to worry about spending any time in jail. They probably just want to scare you so you wont do whatever you did again.

I highly doubt that their intention is to arrest you. They are probably trying to get you in there to work out a plan to keep you in school. If you don't show up; however, they will probably take disciplinary action. Just go and get it over with.

you may be but probably not NO SHOW AND YOU WILL BE
to arrest they don't ask you to come and bring your parents they come for you
and the answer above is wrong - in some states they can arrest you for truancy and there are a few where they can arrest your parents
