It is a 6 cylinder automatic engine with 60,000 miles. I tryed an additive to stop leak ,but didn't work. Seems like low miles to have this problem. Has anyone else had this problem on there Ranger?

Yes they have and I have fixed some over time. Just remove the tranny and replace the rear oil main seal. Just be sure that it is the leak and not coming from the back of the intake and making you think it is the rear main.
