is it fair i cant take my lil' rabbit out for a walk while there are all these irresponsible dog owners who don't keep them on the leash
not to mention, i myself am afraid of certain types of dogs when i go out; like pitbulls, etc
bad experience with my previous dog

I have a rabbit and a dog actually, and even though the rabbit can't go for a walk, it is perfectly happy running around the house if you let it, rabbits are best kept indoors unless you take them to a vet, you are better off trust me.

I hate roaming dogs!
Don't think the leash laws are strict in the states either. Most of the time they are ignored by irresponsible owners and unenforced by animal control.

Are there laws or rules where you live that prohibit unleashed dogs? If so, I'd talk to whoever is in charge and make it clear that people are ignoring the rule, and potentially putting people in harm's way. (Depending on the dog).
