ok i'm sick of people being assholes on here...if you don't like a question...DON'T ANSWER, simple as that. This is a place for questions whether they are stupid or relevent and I have talked to my OB and he said it was up to me but I wanted the opinion of others so if you don't like the question then just roll your eyes to yourself and pass it by.

If you start now, it will induce your period. If you wait, it could be up to, if not more than 6 month before your body gets back on track. Consider the depo shot. I did it at my 6 week check up and have stayed on it for the last 6 years. I no longer have to remamber if I took my pill, which, with a little person hanging on you is a good thing! Good luck and congrats on your little one!

you have 2 weeks to go before you can safely have sex again, if you're breastfeeding I'd say try to stay off of hormones and just use condoms until you're done. Birth control is really not good for you and can cause so many problems, but sadly we don't have very many options. Just talk to your ob and discuss good choices for you. Not everyone does well on every kind of BC so you have to be comfortable with whatever you choose!

If you are nursing you should be on a mini-pill of pregesterone only . You shouldn't be taking it until your baby is 6 weeks old and your milk supply has been established. If you are nursing...then you may or may not get a period...I was told just to pick a day and take the pill...they were progesterone only mind you...ask your Dr again if you aren't sure.

You need to wait until you have your first period. However, if you are breastfeeding you may not get that for a while and so you should use alternative methods of bith control until you get your period back. I also dont think you are suposed to take the BC pill if you are breastfeeding so consult your doctor about that.

My OB gave me my depo shot 6 weeks after I had my baby boy. It all depends on if you are breastfeeding or not. If you are do not take the pill... If not knock yourself out.

You should start taking them as soon as possible or else you will get pregnate really quick. You see right after you have a baby you can get pregnate, because you just had a baby and you have to give your body time to heal. So start taking them immediatley.
