I live in CA and we have good weather pretty much all the time. So that's nice! Do you really want to move to such an expensive place?? NY and CA are both pricey to live and the Job market is starting to get harder and harder. I would pick a state like AZ, they still have some big cities but without the HUGE cost of living! It's cost's like $400,000 just to get a shack here! I pay $800 per month for a little 2 bedroom and that's CHEAP!!
Just really research so you aren't surprised with the cost!

New York isn't all big city and bad. I don't know why when people think New York they are thinking of New York City. There are many places in New York State that are beautiful and are nothing like the big city,

Avoid NY, dude. Highest taxed, least free with worst business climate. My property tax on a 2400 sq foot home is about $8000/year. (yes-eight thousand). Public "servants" are lazy, incompetent and unionized. People move to NY to get on welfare. Look at http://www.ppinys.org . It's an eye-opener.

I don't know which is better to live in, but I have visited both and loved CA. The mountains and the ocean were awesome.

California is warmer & easier to jump to Alohaland & Vegas!

hey they are both pretty expencive, so you have to choose between the weather and job openings.
