Absolutely! I come clean with soap regularly.
Just last night, in fact, I confessed to my bar of soap that I'd been using dish washing liquid in the kitchen. It got ugly, but we worked through it.
But if you are speaking of cleaning the skin, I think water is the most important ingredient.
