my parents don't buy much food for my house, but they expect me to make my own meals quite a lot of the time and feed myself. i'm fifteen and growing loads, so i'm hungry all the time, but they buy nice food occasionally and get really annoyed that i've eaten it all, even though there isn't that much for me to choose from. i've tried talking to them about it, but they say i'm being silly and there's plenty to choose from. i just don't think it's healthy to eat pasta or beans on toast every night. what should i do?

You could talk to your parents and make out a grocery list for the week so you guys can plan meals for that week. Sit them down and talk to them about that. Make sure you're honest and offer the suggestion of a grocery list.

I know most kids don't like the food their parents buy however it doesn't sound like you have any food not to like. They are obligated to feed you because you are still a kid. They should be reported to the authorities. They shouldn't be annoyed with you because you are hungry. I bet when they get hungry they go and buy something to eat so they should do the same for you. If they don't like to be in the kitchen all of the time that's fine but they should make sure that there is food for you to eat. Or buy dinner out for you too.

come up with bogus needs for money and eat out like a queen or buy good food and eat it all alone.. hide it in your room. That ll teach em a lesson. Well are you asking for sushi every night? Or Angus steak? Well then get smart but don't get fat. Make some girl friends and eat at their mums house. again get smart.. find boys to buy you food to..

Are you cute? I'll take you to dinner occassionally. Maybe you should think about getting a job at a local restaurant as a part-time thing and make sure that the food comes free when you apply.

If nutrition is really a problem you probably need to seek outside help. As posted before go to a school counselor and let them evaluate the situation.

Talk to a school counselor. It sounds like a form of child abuse. The Child Protective Authorities would be able to help you.

Try talking to them about it again. If it is their house and you feel it is "inadiquate," talk to the school counsuler or someone you can trust. If you are over 18: Move out

Threaten to report your parents for child abuse; since you still qualifies as a minor, they have to make you food.

Make a dinner list for the week, then a grocery list for the items you need and give it to your mom.
