The ONLY way to get registration papers for a dog is to recieve a registration application or transfer, signed by the breeder (owner of mom) There are no exceptions..
that is with CK, AKC, UKC or CKC (Canadian)
sorry for your misfourtune.. Keep trying to find the breeder.Do a search for her name or on sites for the breed.

You can only get the registration papers from the breeder. I think you may be able to register your dog on your own with a limited registration but I am not sure. You would have to contact the kennel club and find out.

Sounds like you got screwed. Did you actually see the so-called papers? You could try contacting the AKC...they may be able to tell you at least whether or not the dog ever had them.

They didn't give you papers, meaning they cheated you.

Threaten them with court-- better yet, go ahead and file in small claims court (depending on amount) and demand money back for a pure bred, or the breeding papers.
