Muslims please...can you please answer this for me?

Question

First of all, please don't think I hate Muslims or anything like that. I am just curious and would like to ask this question and get some honest answers from honest Muslims.


My question is this: You all say Islam is a peaceful religion. There are other Muslims who blow things up in the name of Allah. You all say that killing is not part of Islam. Then why don't the Muslims stand up and say something to these extremists who are killing and using your religion as a cover up? Why don't leaders of Islam stand up and demand these people to stop? I mean if someone was doing these things in the name of my religion, I would sure as heck stand up and try to stop them--so why don't Muslims?

We do, and those who say we don't, that is not true. There are many many fatwas put out by shaykes and leaders. There are many people like me who denouce it. But we are not news worthy. On that day they showed people dancing in the streets but not those who were shocked. I ask people all the time, what more do you want me to do. I always say I am against it. I can't call up the terriorist and demand they stop. Neither can the Muslims shaykes and scholars. And its not like I will be let on the 5 o'clock news either to say how I feel. Were I used to live in MN there was a new paper that always posted articles by Muslims. Many Muslims sent articles condeming these actions. But how many people read this. So I ask you again, what do you want me to do? I have done all I can to speak up, but no one is listening. And their are millions more like me.

Actually Muslim Imams and leaders refuse those actions and those guys are always hiding and isolated from the community so that they believe that they are the true Muslims and other Muslims are not obeying to God. They have a misunderstanding for Islam based on the opinions of some extreme Imams in the middle ages.
In the Arab world Great Imams like Al-Qaradawi and Al-Bouti and other great people declared clearly that those peoples' thoughts are incorrect and that Jihad doesn't mean killing innocent people but only fighting against fighters..If you lived in islamic countries you may get confused as some people show caompassion with Bin Laden for he is being attacking America who invades their countries and supports their enemies and in the same time they don't agree with attacks like 9/11 or the embassies in Tanzania,,,,,Muslims in the middle east feel hatered towards America and this is true but they don't wan't to do like Bin Laden.
I'm one of the people who think that attacking American foerces in Iraq is not a terrorist action because those are invading forces while attacking civilians like in 9/11 is a crime..and the majority of people here in the middle east are thinking like me.

The only way to stop these attacks is to change the American policy toward Muslims in different places in the world mainly in Palestine.Even if you get Bin Laden killed or captured the increasing hatered toward you in the world will creat hundreds of Bin Laden.

At first , you should know that it's not fair to judge ISLAM from muslims acts. Islam is calling for peace and morals.Those who do somethings wrong dont represent ISLAM but may be because of the unjustice muslims face everywhere and there in palistine, Iraq and even the hateress they face in the west or Europe ,May be this is one reason behind the misunderstanding of the fact of Jihad and the reasons and conditions which should be present to start it.Besides the leaders of muslim countries dont represent the real beautiful picture of ISLAM .They are only followers of the strong country in the world and They do what it ask them or order them to do.

I am not a Muslim I am a Catholic and i dont belong to the KKk or Italian mafia like someone not very bright posted before. I dont believe its in the religion but in a twisted definition given to it by an extreme few who make all the noise so they appear to be the most. Every religion has had violence etched into its history but its the few who hold it sacred and pure that carry it on. What is Religion but ancient laws ?

Cutting of heads, plotting bio terrorism, killing children, and opressing women are all standard opperationg procedures in their backward minds. But put a picture of Mohamed in a cartoon strip, and its outrage to the highest level.

Unfortunately, anyone can declare him/herself a Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Jew, Republican, Democrate, Atheist or anything else and then proceed to committ whatever sins they want in the name of that religion or group. And the whole religion/group gets the blame.

A requirment to join the KKK is to be a born again christian and to have been baptized. They murder and kill people in the name of their christian G-d.

You must be catholic to be in the italin mob. They often bring roseries along with them on 'missions'

Many islamic leaders have asked these people to stop, they simply dont listen.

i'm a Muslim and that i want womens with headband (Hijab). and one element that Islam has mentioned womens to do Hijab and there's a reason for this. No order Of Allah is devoid of reason. Islam says to womens to apply Hijab to gaurd their Modesty. And in case you employ headband, you will discover greater appreciate and love. and this is vital for muslim womens to apply headband.
