You could legally change your name if you're not satisfied with your current name. I know a guy who hated his plain name. He was an artist and he changed his name to Blue Sky. It reflected a lot of the paintings he did and his whole attitude changed and the attitudes of people who met him just thought of him as a cool dude.

Fifteen years ago, I moved to a country where my first name means 'punishment' - and my last name, no one can even pronounce! So we make jokes about my first name, and I just do without a last name for the most part :>

Nobody seems to pronounce my name right or spell it right, I am a latina with a welsh name. Even here know, that im living in the US the same thing continues Oh well :)

I hated my name for a long time. When people with accents say it, it sounds like they're saying "racial" and I hate that. But, I am used to my name now and it doesn't bug me as much as when I was a teen.
